Data Recovery with DTI Data Ltd USA.
DTI required state-of-the-art data recovery tools that would not only serve their internal purposes but also be simple enough to be used by the masses as commercial products they needed a trusted partner to upgrade and enhance their software offerings.

DTI turned to TheDevShop to help them realize their goals.  Initially starting with smaller interface enhancement projects, DTI soon discovered that TheDevShop was able to do much more than add a professional look to their software.  Not only could TheDevShop produce high grade desk interfaces, but also was able to suggest design changes to the software to increase its ease-of-use and functionality.  DTI commissioned TheDevShop work on additional products.  DTI learned that TheDevShop could also handle even the most demanding of technical tasks including low level file operations which was the basis of their core data recovery technology.  TheDevShop worked with DTI to upgrade and extend existing products that were struggling to keep up with operating system changes and file system changes.

So pleased with the results they had seen DTI entrusted TheDevShop with the development of some of they new products.  An example of this is Retro-Burner, a CD recovery tool.  This was a perfect example of TheDevShop’s “Concept to Code”.  DTI needed only to convey the functionality they envisioned in their product.  TheDevShop adopted the project and developed almost as it would an in house project.  Working in collaboration with DTI, additional features we incorporated, an interface developed and a new product was born with minimal direction from DTI. This is a classic example of how, if required, TheDevShop can drive a project forward from a simple concept to a finished product as a trusted development partner.
Custom CRM for SCI Group Ltd Thailand.
SCI needed a way to automate their sales force and back office.  With offices in Thailand, UK and New Zealand, they needed a way to coordinate offices.  SCI’s clientele are expatriate professionals, migrating between countries as their careers progressed. Being a financial services company it was imperative that they track clients as they move and ensure continuity of service.  SCI uses a unique selling technique not supported by standard software packages.

SCI approached TheDevShop to create a unique solution to customize to their business. SCI IT infrastructure consists of a collection of un-networked PC and several laptops in the field. TheDevShop rose to the challenge, assisting SCI to network their PCs, install file and internet servers to work group enable their office.  TheDevShop got to work on creating a “Customer Database”.  Within a few months SCI had a core customer module allowing them to start to consolidate their client basic contact information.  TheDevShop created a web-enabled application using SOAP services to expand the reach of SCI’s system to all offices and sales team members globally.

TheDevShop next delivered a policy management system to track all SCI’s client’s investment portfolios to ensure that contributions are never missed and investment consultants had up to date information available at all times and all locations improving the quality of advice that advisors can offer clients.
Web reporting was then added to offer on-demand information to the geographically disperse sales team. This self-serve secure reporting facility coupled with e-document handling greatly reduced the demands on the back-office staff, allowing SCI to grow dramatically with at a rate that would not have previously been possible.  The growth in the business required only minimal increases in support staff.

The final phase of development was to create the ability to sales staff to work off-line.  After studying the work style and tools that the sales staffs were accustomed to, Outlook was selected as the off-line client.  It was a easy and natural extension to the sales force work method.  TheDevShop created a series of outlook plug-ins that synchronized central database and outlook information over the web.

When SCI chose TheDevShop as their supplier of development services, they got much more.  Their business was automated at a pace that matched both their budgets and their growth.  Choosing TheDevShop was a key success factor in SCI business growth.
E-Business and Event Management for Scrapbook-Mate Netherlands
Scrapbook Mate approached TheDevShop to create a B2B web site.  The company needed a way to offer a secure on-line catalog to their resellers without the costs associated with commercial and custom solutions.  TheDevShop leveraged to their web generation software to create the core web catalog and added custom design and ancillary pages to provide a functional cost-effective solution.

When Scrapbook-Mate had a new business idea to expand their business, they called again on TheDevShop.  Scrapbook-Mate wanted to conduct public events with seminars.  They needed and internet enables event management system.  TheDevShop rose to the challenge.  As a yet-to-be-proven business concept it was essential that costs where minimized.  TheDevShop designed an event management system with on-line registration, with session scheduling, invoicing and PayPal integration.  Development costs where minimized by leveraging TheDevShop’s web generation technology where appropriate.

Scrapbook-mate’s fist event was an instant success.  The web registration and scheduling component was a key contributing factor.  Not only was the software development cost recovered, but a profit was earned.  The same system is in use today supporting several events a year.
Mobile Medical Unit Management Software for RAX Pharmaceutical, Thailand.
RAX’s internal development team was overloaded and they need a Mobile Medical Unit management software on a priority basis.  After interviewing a number of local companies RAX selected TheDevShop to partner with them on their first outsource effort.
